History

In 1996, CDN began to produce news, special coverage, and sports content through its television signal – Channel # 37; converting CDN into the first news channel of the Dominican Republic, and a reference of truthful information.
For 1999, CDN expands the number of broadcasts of its newscasts and diversifies its content by initiating the production of the company’s own programs, covering different topics: From Art and Entertainment, Health, Economy, Debates and Opinion.
In order to stay at the forefront and expand its reach, CDN creates a digital platform, led by its website, a fresh and authentic information center where its users know what happens nationally and internationally 24 hours a day . CDN was also for several years the official channel of Major League Baseball, MLB
In 2005, the CDN news and sports network became part of the Multimedios del Caribe Group, led by entrepreneurs: Ing. Manuel Estrella and Ing. Félix García, who strengthen the channel’s independent information line.
With the interest of broadening the audience, in 2008, CDN2 starts its operations, an alternative television channel offering varied programming for all ages and since 2014 the medium becomes the only Dominican television channel specialized in 24-hour sports content, now with the CDN SportMax Name.
The year 2013 was a year of many changes and growth for CDN, where milestones were marked on Dominican TV. The re-launch of the company was carried out in three areas, the first being the alliance with Provideo, SA, a company that has been run for 29 years by journalist Nuria Piera – carrying out high-level journalistic research (nationally and internationally) and specialized audiovisual productions for local television with a program, “Nuria Investigación Periodística”, which has been on the air for 29 years; of this strategic alliance is that NCDN emerges – a new format that raises a different perspective on the production and content of programming. The second slope, an impressive technical platform, and the third, an interactive study with a state-of-the-art scenario.
